NEW BAND: KETCHUP SOUP
 I am pleased to announce the formation of a new duo band, Ketchup Soup. Together with lovemando on vocals and guitar (I'm still doing vocals and accordion -- surprise, surprise), we are playing some songs together and we're just starting to perform around town. We've already played at the Hobo Supper Club (a private dinner party in Echo Park) and the Stronghold (the Venice speakeasy), where we will be back imminently (see below). We do a kind of jazzy-bluesy-folksy thing that seems to be hitting the spot. Become a fan on the Ketchup Soup Facebook page.

RECENT SHOWS
 Ketchup Soup recently played at the private dinner party "The Hobo Supper Club". This was a beautiful night of delicious food, super nice people, and great music (no, I'm not bragging -- although we weren't too shabby ourselves -- but I'm speaking of JackShit featuring members from Elvis Costello and Jackson Brown's bands).
Ketchup Soup also played a few numbers at a mid-week showcase night at The Stronghold, and they must like us or something because we'll be there again tomorrow night.

OTHER NEWS
On a side note, I have also begun to perform as a hoop-dancer under the name Mrs. Hoop (such as at the Round and Round show and the Santa Monica 4th of July Parade). Become a "fan" and find out about hooping activities on my Mrs. Hoop Facebook page and check out photos and videos there and on YouTube.
Also, within a couple weeks, I am going to start performing both as Mrs. Hobbs and as Mrs. Hoop on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. Stay tuned for more details.
