I'll be performing "This Tree Called Love" with shadow-puppets made and performed by Poli Marichal.
Max 10 is a performance laboratory with 10 acts for 10 minutes 10 times a year. You never know what you'll see: music, theatre, dance, monologues, comedy.

RECENT SHOWS
In August, Ketchup Soup popped up at several places around town such as at The Sanctuary, The Stronghold, and The Talking Stick, where they all seemed to like us.
Mrs.Hobbs gave a couple songs as presents for some friends' birthday music parties, which was great fun to be part of these festivities.
And Naked With Shoes (modern dancers Anne & Jeff Grimaldo), Quentin Josephy, and Mrs. Hobbs regrouped at the VIVA Gallery to present revised versions of "The Girl of the Sea", "Common Side Effects" and "Coming Home" within the Artist Coop 7's art show "Rhapsody in Hues". Very arty, indeed! |

MRS.HOOP NEWS
 World Hoop Day was on 09/09/09. Since there didn't seem to be any events on the Westside of L.A., I decided to throw my own WHD party. A few friends gathered in the Palisades Park in Santa Monica under the palm trees looking out over the ocean, where we hooped to a specially created "mixtape" that included Dengue Fever, Jessica Fichot, M.I.A., Regina Spektor, Daft Punk, Jimi Hendrix, and more. We raised a little money that went off to the WHD organization that gives underprivileged kids hula hoops to promote joy and a sense of hope.
COMING UP: Before performing as Mrs. Hobbs at the Abbot Kinney Festival on Sun Sept 27, I'll be selling hoops at the Hoopnotica booth from 10:00am-2:00pm. Stop by and pick up some hoops!
