12.18.09 HOLIDAY PARTY AT LESLEY ANTON HANDMADE CERAMIC STORE, Los Angeles, CA

Ketchup Soup brought our sultry jazzy/bluesy/cabaret sounds to the festivities.

Ceramic artist and designer Lesley Anton is known for creating one-of-a-kind, handmade ceramic lighting, a favorite of celebs like Drew Barrymore. Her Handmade for the Home collection offers tableware such as bowls and mugs.

 

12.15.09 B is for Baroness CD Release Party, BORDELLO, L.A., CA

Ketchup Soup ended up opening for the B is for Baroness CD Releease party after Cat Hair Ensemble had to drop out due to illness. Also, on the bill for this great night was Vermouth and Erich von Kneip.

Had been planning to go see Amy Kaps and Hank Rosenfeld when an open slot appeared and Mrs. Hobbs & lovemando as Ketchup Soup stepped in to join the performing festiviities.

Lazing on a Sunday afternoon...the sounds of Ketchup Soup added the perfect music accompaniment to the chill ambience at Venice Beach Wines, where people partook of fine food and drinks in a relaxing Venice vibe.

Ketchup Soup poured it on at the Carnivale of Creation, a jam-packed event with everything from 20-piece marching bands to aerialists to a film festival and way more.

Featuring Ketchup Soup, Killsonic, Helios Jive, With A Bible And A Gun, MacDracula, The Blasting Company, The Wandering Marionettes, Ryan Heffington Sweaty Sundays dance class, Everybody Nose Clown Troupe, Rebecca Fireplug Nelson & Mimi Wolfe & Sundara, Freakshow Film Festival, Magicians, Jugglers, Art Show, and more....

Proceeds went to a variety of charities, such as the LA County Firefighters’ Widows & Orphans Fund, the Gay & Lesbian Center, the California Dance Institute, and others.

The Hobo Supper Club marks the debut of the new duo "Ketchup Soup" with Mrs. Hobbs and Lovemando. The two blend vocals, accordions, and guitar in a jazz/blues/folk style. The night also featured the band "JackShit".

Forth Magazine and the Trapeze School at the Santa Monica Pier put on a spectacular night of entertainment, food and drink to celebrate the launch of Issue #4, marking Forth's first half-year in print and the Trapeze School's first anniversary. There were a host of talented entertainers from clowns to seductive dancers, aerialists to trampolinists, hula hoops to the Trapeze School's amazing flying trapeze acrobats all decked out in a day-glow, carnival theme. And, of course, singin' and squeezin' from your favorite post-pop squeezebox dive, Mrs. Hobbs.
